There is still much more to
do, but you’ll get an idea of the theme and composition.
It’s
odd that I’d never bought the idea that artists must somehow suffer for their work. It was always apparent to
me that they had to really work hard for their work. But now I realize that creating this sculpture is such a complete
way to express my still overwhelming pain and sorrow.
So, I am using it – whenever I can find enough solitude here
– to work out my sadness over losing AJ. The art has and always will save me. This is where my soul is.
