The 90th birthday party was a great success! Mother was really surprised
and that in itself was an achievement.

No work on the sculpture for several days, since I’m restoring old –
80 plus yrs. – photographs for my mother’s 90th birthday party this Sunday. It’s a surprise party
and I’m hoping that she will be surprised. The oldest photo of her is her baby picture from 1919 and that was
the most damaged and took hours to repair. Did I mention how much I like my old hp ScanJet 5300C scanner?
Although I try not to get political here, it is amazing to me that we’re bailing out companies, who then give
out multi-million dollar bonuses to the very people, who put them into near/sure bankruptcy. Gail Collins had it right
TARP stands for “to assist rich people”.

The sculpture is going well. It will be an incredibly difficult
work to cast and I’m actually thinking of dusting off my casting skills and casting it myself. Where I’ll
be able to do that is yet to be worked out.
The wooded area in my backyard is filled with snowdrops. If I
get a chance I’ll take some photos of them this week. Odd I never noticed them in other years.
Photo above.
